If you are thinking about starting or growing a business in 2017 you are promised coffee, mince pies and a warm welcome when UK Steel Enterprise throws open the doors of its Innovation Centre on Friday December 9.

The flagship business centre on the Kirkleatham Business Park at Redcar, offering tenants top quality premises on easy in, easy out terms, is holding an Open Day from 10am to 3pm for anyone interested in having a look behind the scenes at the offices, workshops and facilities.

Senior Administrator Sue Kirk, who has been at the Centre since it opened, will be one member of the UK Steel Enterprise team showing visitors around.

“The Centre is designed specifically to give smaller businesses the support, space and amenities that they need,” she said. “UKSE has more than 40 years experience of supporting businesses with finance and premises so we do understand the pressures that they face.

“Our aim is to take all the worries about premises off their shoulders and leave them free to concentrate on growing their business.   It’s a friendly and supportive business community here and I’m sure some tenants will be on hand on Open Day to have a word with visitors.”

The high-spec office and workshop space is available on ‘easy in easy out’ terms with no hidden extras and competitive rents starting from as little as £50 per week.   The Centre boasts a manned reception and visitor area, a range of offices, workshops and well-equipped meeting and conference rooms as well as a gym, sauna and relaxation room. .

With high speed broadband, network ready Cat 5 intelligent data cabling and a digital telecom system it is ideal for businesses with an emphasis on technology.  Plus it provides 24 hour access, air conditioning, ample free parking, a CCTV security system and attractive landscaped grounds.

The current 40-plus tenants at the Centre are involved in businesses that include software, catering, website design, engineering, prop design finance, saddlery, recruitment, health, beauty, book-keeping and interior design.

“We have helped many tenants to expand or adapt their space as their business develops,” explained Sue.  “And, although it is always sad to see a company move out, it usually means that they have done so well they have outgrown us and gone on to larger or purpose built premises.”

It would be helpful if anyone interested in coming along on Friday December 9th between 10am and 3pm could let Sue know on 01642 777 777 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
